SAVANNAH HIDDEN HISTORY TOUR
The Savannah History Tour for Grown-Ups
Beautiful. Brutal. Hilarious. Heartbreaking. The obscure, surprising and amazing stories the classroom leaves out.

THE POLISHED, STANDARD VERSION LEAVES A LOT OUT.
Savannah is beautiful enough to make almost anything look respectable.
Hidden History digs underneath that surface: scandal, crime, politics, vice, ambition, social conflict, overlooked voices, and the people whose lives rarely fit neatly onto a plaque.

WHY MAD CAT? HERE’S THE EVIDENCE.

THE PARTICULARS.

HISTORY IS WHERE WE MEET OURSELVES.
The beautiful parts. The ugly parts. The parts that make us laugh anyway.
Savannah's history is full of beautiful architecture, famous names, grand monuments and tidy little stories. It is also full of ambition, vice, violence, political maneuvering, social conflict and people making spectacularly human decisions.
Hidden History is built for guests who want to go beyond the standard Savannah overview. We explore the people, power struggles, scandals, crimes and overlooked stories that make the city's past much stranger — and much more interesting — than the polished version suggests.
The stories range across Savannah's long history: colonial Georgia, revolution, war, vice, crime, politics and social change. Famous figures get a closer look, but so do people whose lives and perspectives are often flattened or pushed aside in conventional accounts.
This is researched history without the classroom atmosphere. Our guides use real sources and local context, but the goal is to make the city feel alive. Full of personalities, contradictions, strange turns and stories that are far too good to leave buried in an archive.
