Way better than I expected. Really great price for you and the family. They tell it as it is and have tons of dad jokes! They also have so many cool pictures to give you the history of the place. Also a good size group! All the other groups in the area were so massive but with this tour it was a better, more intimate tour that gave great conversations with both the host and other members of the group. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area!

We had Rebecca as our guide and they did an AWESOME job. No one else showed for our tour, so we had a very special experience with it just being the three of us walking around hearing the history and lore.

Lance was very knowledgeable using fact based history along with humor. I would highly recommend this tour over others just for that purpose alone. You not only get a ghost tour but also a history lesson and other tidbits about Savannah. Tour was about 1.5 hours long yet we were able to add in more stops. Family friendly but will not disappoint those looking to experience ghosts. Hint… make sure your camera is on burst shooting mode before you start the tour. My only regret is we took the tour on our last night. After hearing all the history etc I would have liked to go back to visit sites mentioned and spend time in areas mentioned that i didnt not know exhisted. Guess that means we will just have to come back.

We loved the Fraidy Cat Walking Ghost Tour! We took our two kids aged 5 and 8 and they were thoroughly spooked but without being frightened to death! They took it all in stride. The walking was at a great pace, and the stories appeared to be factually based, without too much embellishment, although told with flair and humor. Many of the jokes went over the kids’ heads, which was fine, and we learned a lot about the history of the area as well as the ghostly activity, some stories even came with photo evidence! Thanks to Lance for the great evening and also restaurant recommendations!

This tour was nice! I think I was expecting a ton more people to be on the tour because of how popular in general ghost tours are in Savannah. But it was just me and my mom and one other couple. It was nice, we learned a lot of history and learned the general reason behind why Savannah is infamously haunted. The only thing that could’ve been improved might’ve been the guide’s delivery. That said, I took another tour the next night with a different guide (same exact company though) and had a great time and different experience — could also be down to group dynamics though! I’m sure once you get 6+ people on a tour together, people can lend their opinions and questions and make it a different environment.

Also, don’t be like me and forget your bugspray! Bring it with you!

We had so much fun on the Fraidy Cat Ghost Tour! Lance did a great job leading us all around this great city and telling us stories. I like that he didn’t embellish or go over the top with anything, but seemed to focus on truth rather than formulaic tropes and scare tactics.

We were able to listen in on other ghost tours as we walked past a few and I was super thankful that we had chosen this tour among all of the possibilities. The tours we were overhearing were not always factual and seemed to rely on jump scares and exaggerated stories to captivate their audiences.

We had our 3yo son and 6yo daughter with us and Lance was able to keep everything super creepy without traumatizing the kids!

I appreciated that Lance has both an insider and outsider perspective of Savannah. He came from California but has been living in Savannah for 19 years.

He also gave some AWESOME restaurant recommendations! We made sure to go to Bella Napoli which was amazing and we also had the Shepherds pie from Sixpence Pub. It was delicious! Thanks, Lance!

We had a great vacation overall, but my husband said that this was his favorite part of the whole trip – I think that sums it all up!

Our tour guide had a really hard job because a group of guests on the tour recorded her without her permission and kept making loud noises. Eventually, she asked them to leave.

Despite their disrespect, she carried on and gave the rest of us on the tour a fun night!

Kerry was awesome and provided a super interesting ghost tour. He went into great detail in a humourous way, and kept the group’s attention the whole time, young and older. Everyone was enthralled for 90 minutes. We could have listened to his stories all day long. We’ve been to Savannah 6 times and we only wish we’d taken his ghost tour sooner. Yes we learned about the haunted past of Savannah, but he also answered a thousand questions we had about the history of this old town. We’d recommend his tour to anyone. We saw several ghost tour groups in the square we started and stopped in and heard slightly different variations of some of the stories. Very intimate group (which we prefer over other groups we saw of 30 or more). We had 9 people.
Walking is much more hands on as well compared to trolley or bus tours. No drinking – which we loved. Other groups definitely focus more on drinking and less on the actual tour. Not to mention no one was getting out of hand or spilling their drinks on anyone.

Kerry knows soo much about Savannah. He could answer any question we had and makes everything fun and easy going. I wouldn’t have known literally any of the history of Savannah that he shared with us if it wasn’t for him because there isn’t many landmarks or public info available. Definitely a must if you want a ghost tour that is more based in historical creepy facts and just enough ghost stories to keep everyone entertained.

My 21 year old daughter had a surprisingly good time and found the walking tour really fun with murderous Savannah tales around every corner. We took our 2 dogs and they loved the nearly 2 hour walk through all the beautiful parks in historic downtown. Our group was small and Kerry made sure we kept safe through the cross walks.

Did a “VIP tour” with my guide Horizon because I was the only person who signed up! She was so awesome! Really animated & into what she was telling me about! We ended up spending almost 3 hours together between the tour content & just chatting about life. She definitely did not have to go out of her way to spend the time answering all my questions & chatting & such, but she did an excellent job in providing a positive experience. I didn’t even realize how much time had elapsed, otherwise I would have left her with a bigger tip. Anyway, I would highly recommend this tour, especially if you know you’ll be coming during a slower time and in a smaller group. My impression is that the tour guides do an excellent job of catering their stories to the audience, providing a more personalized tour experience.

Her tour was full of candid honesty, thought-provoking historical facts, tangible examples / specific visuals, and accounts from both modern times and those passed to us from generations long, long ago. The content of the tour had depth and richness – it wasn’t all fluff and show, or shallow spooks and scares! Things we learned we can recall and retell the next time we come into Savannah, because they were so concrete and memorable. Our true crime tour was amazing! Our tour guide, Connor, not only was enthusiastic about the true crimes stories but also brought in a little bit of Savannah’s architecture. I wish we could have taken him with us to do a tour city so he could share his knowledge of the buildings and their importance. This tour was a great way to see the city from a different perspective and I learned a lot. I would definitely do it again and recommend to anybody looking to support a local business!

We enjoyed the pub crawl, and our tour guide, Sarah, did an excellent job of telling us the stories and giving us some great drink recommendations at the bars. She also took time to take some great pictures of our group and answer all our questions. One thing to note – this tour is not for the faint of heart. I love true crime shows, but it all seemed much more gruesome when you were actually there on site. Definitely made me think about things in a new way, and I really appreciated it.

It was much different than I expected as far as not including one drink, they had to be purchased, there was a longer walk between each establishment than I expected and definitely thought the stories would be much better and more engaging. it ended well at McDonoughs with them starting karaoke. unfortunately I could not recommendthis tour to others. Our guide, Rocky, was FANTASTIC! I scheduled this for our family vacation with adult children and while we didn’t quite know what to expect, all of us absolutely loved it. One of our best memories of our trip to Savannah! The storytelling was great, the drinks were delicious, and a fun time was had by all. We were in a HUGE storm, and somehow Kerry made it so fun. She constantly asked what we were okay with (getting wet or staying put) and was so quick to lead us to a dry place. Honestly could not have asked for a better guide!! Very much a core memory from our vacation.

This experience was great! My friends and I were on a girls trip, and signed up for this tour last minute. It ended up being a small group, which was amazing! It gave us a ton of time to talk with our guide, Sarah, who was full of awesome stories and fun facts about the town itself as well. We were able to customize some of our locations along the way, which allowed us to learn even more then I think we signed up for! The price was perfect for a fun evening outing, and all the of the bars that we stopped at had great drinks, and really cool true crime stories to go along with them! We all highly recommend!!

Our host was Rocky and everyone else cancelled so my fiancée and I were her only guests. This could’ve been horrible awkward but thanks to Rocky’s super personable demeanor, we probably had a better time with it being just us 🙂 She had excellent drink recommendations at each spot, picked a decent price range of bars in case we were on a budget, and gave a rich history lesson along the way!

Booked this tour last minute with my husband and don’t regret it one bit! Connor was very informative and a great story teller. Was a plus to be able to stop at the pubs for breaks and (of course) drinks. Everyone in the group all got along, which made the experience worthwhile. We had a great time on the walking tour. From other experiences I would say this is more of a walking tour that stops at a few local bars instead of a pub crawl. The pub crawls I have done in the past usually include a drink at each stop. Either way we had a great time and Sarah was a lot of fun even with the inclement weather.

We had originally booked this for our first night in Savannah but due to weather issues in Dallas our flight was delayed. I emailed the hosts and they graciously rebooked us to Sunday night. Our tour guide was Rocky she was the best. She was very engaging and enthusiastic in her story telling. The bars she took us to were all different and each had a story associated with it. We were in a small group which was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend this tour. It’s a great value and a good way to get some local history!

My partner and I booked this on our last night in Savannah. This was a fun way to see some more of the city. Conner, our guide, spilt some very juicy historical tea 🍵 over some knock-out cocktails. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 not really as a reflection on the quality, but moreso as I think this would have been alot more fun if we had been in a bigger group.

Our guide was very personable and fun to listen to, and had great recommendations for drinks and for other places to visit. Sandy was absolutely amazing. She was incredibly knowledgeable about each of the stories, including random questions we had. She had an answer to each question. She is familiar with all of the locations we visited, the true crime stories associated with each location, and random tidbits of information between stops. She definitely made the cold night a memorable evening. She was even helpful in suggesting food places to visit after the tour since the walk famished the two of us. Being a queer couple, we especially enjoyed the references she made, and the lack of judgment the world seems to be stuck in. We would definitely recommend this tour, or any tour she may be hosting. She gave us interesting bits of history to go along with each story and outside of each story. Dynamic story telling that had us both caught up in each story. She had us laughing and at some points rubbing goosebump covered arms. The bars she took us too were awesome. Great drink recommendations and delicious choices. We were the only people that booked a tour, so it ended up being a private tour. She showed us extra little sneak peeks about the city since we had extra time. Highly highly recommend!!

We loved Megan, she told an array of stories in a matter of fact time that allowed the tour to be authentic but not over dramatic or cheesy! Definitely keep an eye on the weather, as it did rain during most of our tour but we made sure to bring an umbrella so it wasn’t too bad. The bars we visited were very fun and our tour guide even told us about a speakeasy to find. I think it would’ve been nice to have one free drink for the price, but overall had a great experience and would recommend to anyone visiting Savannah!

This was such a fun experience! I was expecting this tour to be very much into the crimes, all the darker facts and inside details, and lots of different murder stories. What it really ended up being was the history/background of some local murders. Although it wasn’t what I was imagining, it was absolutely fascinating. I have to say that the tour guide Kerry really made the experience what it was. He was so enthusiastic about all the history that the tour was still beyond amazing, even if it’s different than what I expected it to be. The bars that we stopped at we learned so many cool things about, and Kerry didn’t rush us at all. He was a great guide and I recommend the tour!

I wrote this same review on Trip advisor, so I’m being lazy and copying it here. Short version: Super fun! Megan was great! Give it a go! Long version: My husband and I visited Savannah this week and wanted to do a different kind of tour experience than the usual ghost tours that seem to be everywhere. We decided on the True Crime and Wine and we were really glad we did. Our tour guide, Megan, was a delight and so personable. She took us to 3 local pubs, suggested wonderful drinks to order, and told us several stories of true crimes that took place in the historic district of Savannah. If you’re looking for a unique way to see the city and want a more personal experience than a ghost tour, hit Megan at Mad Cat Tours up. You won’t be disappointed.

We had so much fun on this tour! As a true crime lover I was worried that I was going to be disappointed with the tour or already familiar with the stories, but I learned a lot and it was so cool hearing about these spine chilling murders while standing beneath a tree where the body was hanged or even standing on the very ground where it was buried. Megan was engaging and very fun to chat with while walking from place to place. All of the bars were super cool and had some really fun drink options, but there wasn’t any alcohol included with the tour, so be sure to take that into consideration when planning financially. Overall, I would 100% this tour to anyone who loves good drinks, the opportunity to hang out with some tipsy like minded strangers, and a good true crime podcast!

The tour provided some great information about the true crimes of Savannah. The pub stops were great. Drinks are not included in tour price. Depending on the size of the group it can take a bit to wait in line and get drinks at each stop. Be prepared to get some steps in. This tour allows you to see some really great spots but you are walking for a bit. Overall the tour guide was dynamic, entertaining and knowledgeable. She made the experience!

Very fun experience and you definitely get your steps in for the day. We learned a lot of stories about the area and walked around enough to see a ton of local sights. Connor was an awesome host and handled our large group amazingly especially with how many other tours appeared to be happening around the same areas. We apparently picked a very busy weekend to visit Savannah but still had a ton of fun. Highly recommend arriving early as parking was very difficult on Saturday night!

With Airbnb experiences you are dealing directly with the local owner and tend to have smaller groups so Kerry was able to focus on our questions and customize some of the stops. My wife and I love to take a history tour and a food tour in each place we visit and this is top 1 or 2 ever (rivaled only by another passionate storyteller in Venice). Kerry’s passion for Savannah and it’s famous founders and inhabitants is pure joyous entertainment.

Note: This is an unconventional tour. Kerry reveals a side of history that’s honest and human… which isn’t the same clean version that you get from a pamphlet or on the “normal” trolley tours. It’s truly awesome.

Do yourself a favor and start your savannah trip with this tour. You won’t regret it!

Kerry was wonderful! It was refreshing to see the enthusiasm he has for Savannah’s not-so-simple history. He clarified places where there is debate on what actually occurred and showed great understanding of the events that surrounded each square that we were able to see. In addition to history, he also showed us locations of the town that we may want to spend more time investigating, such as a tavern that had a hidden tunnel that led under the streets. Our tour guide Jackie was great she knew so much of Savannah’s history. She added scandal and interesting stories of women of Savannah as well. I have been to Savannah many times and gone on tours but this is the first one that spoke about the women. In addition I brought my 2 children in a stroller and my sister who is in a wheelchair.
